A 90% handmade banjo on recycled material?

Karibuni...means you are welcome in "Swahili",a national language of Tanzania. In this blog you will find information about my mission, my music roots and its origin.

My mission is to restore African tradition music, history, compose the music, and share the music with all ages from: preschools, elementary schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, public library, YMCA/YWCA clubs, Senior centers, colleges, and universities world wide.

My music is soulful music that revels the true love of our ancestor's, forgiveness, and caring for one another. My music was introduced to this world about 400 years ago . Unfortunately is not very well known music among our generations. Thus why I'm here to restore and unfold the African Banjo music history and share with you!

African Banjo is 4 stringed instrument originated from Africa. Its influence comes from BANTU ethnic group which consists more than 68% ( percent) of the African Continent population. Among that ethnic group is Essau Pwelle from Wandali tribe in Tanzania-East Africa. To learn more about our African Banjo history please visit our history page. Asanteni sana!- Thank you very much!
